The Effect of Aging on P , QRS and T Waves of Electrocardiogram

Abstract
|

|
Author studied ECG records of conventional 12 leads of 240 healthy peoples to evaluate the changes of P, QRS and T waves of ECG with advancing ages and following results were `obtained.
1. P-wave amplitudes of standard leads were not changed significantly with advancing ages.
2. QRS´ voltages´ in standard leads were decreased with advancing ´ages.
3.The amplitude of RV1, SVi and SVs, R/S ratio ´in V1, and SV1+RVs values. were decreased with advancing age.
4. Amplitudes of T-wave in L1, L2 and sum of T-wave and T/R ratio in V5 were decreased with advancing age.
